Kowie Marine Services was established in 1979 by Charles and Lou de Bruin, and after 30-plus years in Port Alfred, is still family-owned and run.

The business developed from the family’s involvement in the local fishing industry. In those early years our business supplied much needed technical support to the industry and helped source neccessary marine equipment and the supply of marine equipment and accessories.

Later Charles obtained the Yamaha Franchise for the area.
Kowie Marine Services is based in Port Alfred, midway between East London and Port Elizabeth and only 50 kilometers from the inland University City of Grahamstown.

Kowie Marine Services is ideally situated to supply our eclectic basket of marine services to both the leisure and professional boating fraternity in the whole of the Eastern Cape Province.
